about

Hello! I'm Charmaine, and I live in the Blue Mountains with my husband and two sons, and our fluffy Husky, Summer.

I call myself an artist, but I'd say we could all call ourselves that - some of us just haven't found our creative outlet yet. Art is the earliest form of communication and record-keeping, story telling and visual appreciation of the wonders we find around us. It is accessible to everyone, whether it be stroking lines in the sand or paint on canvas - we are all capable, we just have to be willing! I love to work with gouache, pencils, ink, and water colour, but have been known to draw with chalk paint on shopfront windows or even scrub back an image in the burnt remnants of an unsuccessful dinner while washing up my saucepan (I think we opted to eat out that night)! Inspiration strikes at the strangest of times...!

I am a descendant of the Bundjalung people, on the Clarence River in Northern NSW. It is my family's hope that we can reconnect with the family that was stolen from us, and connect with country.
